High Desert Plain
Nestled in the Little Colorado River Valley you will find the town that still lives up to its historical cliché of being a “City in Motion”. Winslow has excellent weather which is inviting to motorcyclist who enjoying venturing there on historical Route 66. Have a nostalgic time visiting the city, of which parts seem as if time stood still. This will be a city to where you can take it easy. You will have the opportunity to taste cuisine unlike any other with ingredient such as cactus and Mesquite pod flour. You can enjoy the taste of corn that has a heritage of over 4,000 years of being grown in this area.
Explore the Four Corners
When you drive on I-40 in Arizona, just 56 minutes away from the Grand Canyon you can have a nice place to stay while you explore the Painted Dessert in the four corners region. This is a great alternative to the Grand Canyon accommodations and you will find that you are not far from Flagstaff should you want to venture there as well. In Williams, Arizona you will find a couple of lakes you can delight fishing in such as Cataract Lake. In addition Kaibab Lake offers you overnight camping where you can take in the sights of Kaibab National Forest.
